Back To School Activity Guide Fall 2022!

As summer is winding down, we have lots of great ideas for Fall Activities to keep your little ones engaged after school! This area has a *ton* of amazing after school programs for all ages and interests, from sports to music to chess, and everything in-between! Help your family have the best Fall ever in 2022 by signing up for one or more of these fantastic options. The 2022 Greenwich Moms Fall Activity Guide is here to highlight some of our favorite Fall activities and to help you make your decisions and registration process quick and easy, with all the info in one place. On a typical day after school, youth arrive at Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich by bus, eat a healthy snack and participate in supervised games, homework help, sports, or arts & crafts. Additional enrichment activities, such as swim lessons, soccer, financial literacy instruction, computer programming, and STEM classes are included in the $75 annual membership fee. Also offered are career and college exploration programs with free SAT prep classes, college campus visits, and college and career workshops. Registration for fall programs closes on September 23.

Fall Sports at Chelsea Piers

School is right around the corner. Now is the perfect time to finalize your kids’ after-school activities. Chelsea Piers offers youth sports programs for kids ages 3+ and skills under one roof. Whether your child is just learning to play, looking to stay active, or looking to take their skills to the next level, they can pursue their passions and fuel their athletic potential, learning skills from professional coaches while having fun! Jumpin’ Jams classes are an exploration of rhythm, melody and movement and are sure to get even the smallest kids moving, singing, clapping, dancing, and of course jumpin’!

Classes were created for babies through preschoolers, but made for you to experience the joy of music with your child in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Fall semester runs September 6 – November 19 and spots are filling up quickly! Fall classes will be both indoors and outdoors depending on the weather, except for Wednesday mornings at the Darien YWCA.

If the class you’re looking for is full, it’s not a problem! Just add your name to the waiting list and if we’re outside we can always add more friends!

 Located in the heart of Old Greenwich, OGTA offers junior programs that use Red/Orange/Green/Yellow tennis which is an innovative concept used by top tennis nations. The balls, court, racquets and scoring are scaled to match the size and age of children (like T ball and mini-soccer).

The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM)

Led by Olympic silver medalist Tim Morehouse, the club offers private one-on-one instruction, group classes, and camps for competitors of all ages and ability levels. Tim Morehouse Fencing Club is one of the few clubs in the country to offer saber, épée, and foil at its three locations — Manhattan, Westchester County, and Connecticut.

Kaleidoscope, for grades K-5, combines homework, enrichment and sports to help children build on classroom learning while having fun. YW Hub is designed to enrich the social, emotional, physical and character development of middle school students in a welcoming, safe environment. YWCA Greenwich also offers youth fitness programs in areas such as gymnastics, dance, golf, swimming and more!
